  • [9/2/2008] - In a post-game ceremony held on August 24th the B-Mets presented three awards based on players field performance during the 2008 season.  The Most InspirationPlayer for the 2008 B-Mets was Jose Coronado, Jose Sanchez was selected as the Pitcher of the Year and Mike Carp was named The Most Valuable Player.
  • [9/2/2008] - Desperate times call for left-handed measures. And so the Mets will promote the most successful lefty they've employed in their farm system for some time, officially scheduling Jonathon Niese to make his Major League debut Tuesday night in Milwaukee. Manager Jerry Manuel confirmed the move late Sunday morning.
  • [8/22/2008] - As the 2008 regular season winds down to its final 10 days, the Binghamton Mets look forward to the 18th campaign in franchise history with the announcement of the 2009 schedule of home games. The action begins at NYSEG Stadium with the home opener on Thursday, April 16th at 6:35 pm when the Portland Sea Dogs play the first of 71 scheduled games in the Southern Tier. April 16th marks the latest home opener on the calendar since the B-Mets inaugural 1992 season.
  • [8/22/2008] - After a shaky 2007 campaign with Binghamton in which he went 4-9 with a 4.52 ERA in 27 starts, Sanchez has a 13-6 record in '08 and is one of the winningest pitchers in the Eastern League. This season, he has a 3.77 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 140 2/3 innings pitched.

B-Mets Lose In Finale
